Why should I have chiropractic care during pregnancy?
There are several physiological and endocrinological changes that happen in preparation for creating the environment for the developing baby during pregnancy. The following changes that occur could result in a misaligned spine or joints
Protruding abdomen and increased back curve
Chiropractic care helps to establishing pelvic balance and alignment during pregnancy. Misaligned pelvis may reduce the space available for the developing baby. This is call intrauterine constraint. A misaligned pelvis may make it difficult for the baby to get into the best possible position for delivery and it can affect the mother’s ability to have a natural, non-invasive birth.
The nervous system is the master communication system to all the body systems including the reproductive system. Our body work more effectively when we have our spine aligned.

Is chiropractic care safe during pregnancy?
We are trained to work with women who are pregnant. Investing in the fertility and pregnancy wellness of women who are pregnant or trying to conceive is a routine care for most chiropractors.
Currently, the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) recommends that women receive chiropractic care throughout pregnancy to establish pelvic balance and optimize the room a baby has for development throughout pregnancy. Babies have a greater chance of moving into the correct position for birth with a balanced pelvis. It also eliminates the potential for dystocia (difficult labor) when baby position is optimal at the time of birth and therefore results in safer and easier deliveries for both the mother and baby.
"Before trying out Light Chiropractic, I went to another Chiropractor for my visits. Light Chiropractic has brought me a healthy baby boy. Reaching to my 40s, I was reluctant in whether I could do it or not. Dr. Theo’s reassurance gave me confidence. I decided to do a totally natural birth without epidural or any painkillers. The birth went fine and I am completely happy. Dr. Theo even checked my son and lightly adjusted him. For anyone interested in Chiropractic care, please try this place. Chiropractic is safe for pregnancy and baby." -KLAIRE ONG
